Senior Operations Manager

Schedule: Hybrid – onsite during initial training, then approximately 1 day per week in Garland Compensation: $100,000–$150,000 + Quarterly Bonus Industry: Software / SaaS / Automotive Technology We’re partnering with a fast-growing, Series A software company that is transforming how financial and operational transactions move across the automotive ecosystem. With significant growth underway, the organization is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day operations and help build the infrastructure needed for its next stage of scale. This is not a traditional corporate operations role . We’re looking for someone who thrives in a startup environment—someone versatile enough to jump between people, processes, customers, software, and business problems without waiting for a playbook. The ideal candidate is a natural leader and problem solver who can quickly identify what isn\'t working, determine why, and put a scalable solution in place. You’ll work closely with executive leadership while serving as a critical bridge between Operations, Customer Support, Sales, Product, and Engineering. What You’ll Do Own and continuously improve the company’s day-to-day operational functions. Lead and develop the customer support/operations team, providing direction, accountability, and prioritization. Monitor support volume, workload, customer issues, and recurring operational challenges. Identify gaps between existing software systems and operational processes and develop practical solutions. Build scalable processes, workflows, and operating procedures as the company grows. Partner closely with Product and Engineering to translate business and customer needs into actionable priorities. Serve as a bridge between fast-moving commercial teams and more technical, process-driven teams. Use data and analytics to identify trends, improve performance, and support business decisions. Look for opportunities to automate repetitive work and solve problems at the root , rather than continually relying on manual workarounds. Proactively identify resource, staffing, process, and technology needs before they become bottlenecks. Take ownership of initiatives from problem identification through implementation. Help build the operational foundation for a rapidly scaling organization. The role is designed to operate with significant independence; leadership wants someone who can recognize what needs to happen, communicate the reasoning behind it, and execute without constant oversight. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of progressive operations experience , ideally with leadership or management responsibility. Startup or high-growth company experience strongly preferred. Experience working within a software, SaaS, fintech, automotive industry. Comfortable working within software platforms and communicating with technical teams—you don't need to be a developer, but you should be technologically fluent. A versatile background with the ability to move between strategic initiatives and hands-on execution. Proven ability to lead people, establish accountability, and earn the trust of a team. Strong process-improvement mindset with an ability to simplify, automate, and scale. Highly proactive and comfortable making decisions with incomplete information. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to prioritize competing initiatives without losing sight of execution. Comfortable operating in an environment where roles evolve quickly and everyone wears multiple hats. Highly Preferred Experience within the automotive industry , particularly automotive technology, dealerships, lending, vehicle titles, lien processing, loan payoff, or related operations. Experience building or scaling an operations function in a 0-to-1 or early-stage environment . Previous experience partnering closely with software engineering or product teams. The strongest profile would combine SaaS/software + startup operations + automotive industry experience , although automotive experience is preferred rather than an absolute requirement.
