Director of Human ResourcesThe Director of Human Resources provides strategic and operational leadership for all human resources functions across the organization. This role partners closely with executive leadership and managers to develop and implement people strategies that support business objectives while fostering a positive, compliant, and employee-focused workplace culture. The Director of Human Resources oversees employee relations, performance management, compliance, talent acquisition, policy administration, workforce planning, compensation, investigations, and employee engagement initiatives.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEmployment Law & HR ComplianceEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Maintain and update employee handbooks, policies, and HR procedures.Coordinate with the Benefits Manager on leave administration, accommodation processes, and employment compliance programs.Prepare and coordinate required government reporting, including EEO and other workforce compliance filings.Monitor regulatory developments and recommend organizational policy updates as needed.Employee Relations & Workplace InvestigationsServe as the primary resource for managers and employees regarding workplace issues, employee concerns, and employment-related matters.Conduct or oversee workplace investigations involving policy violations, harassment complaints, employee misconduct, and other employee relations matters.Recommend appropriate corrective actions consistent with company policies and employment laws.Provide guidance on disciplinary actions, employee counseling, performance concerns, and conflict resolution.Coordinate employee separations, reductions in force, and termination processes.Performance ManagementAdminister and continuously improve the organization's performance management process.Develop and oversee Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and corrective action processes.Coach managers on employee development, performance expectations, and accountability.Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.Compensation, Benefits & HR Systems AdministrationOversee HRIS administration and maintain accurate employee records.Serve as the primary administrator and organizational point of contact for HR technology platforms.Partner with Payroll and Benefits to ensure accurate and timely administration of employee programs.Oversee administration of Deferred Compensation program.Maintain organizational charts, workforce records, and employment documentation.Employee Engagement & CultureDevelop and administer employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and employee satisfaction surveys.Coordinate employee communications and organization-wide announcements.Administer service award and employee recognition programs.OtherIn coordination with the Talent Acquisition Manager, develop and implement recruiting, selection, onboarding, and workforce planning efforts.Partner with leadership to identify staffing needs and workforce development opportunities.Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on organizational development, workforce planning, and employee-related risks.Analyze workforce trends and provide recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness.Prepare reports, metrics, and presentations for leadership to support strategic decision-making.Payroll, Benefits, and Talent Acquisition will report directly to the Director of Human Resources, ensuring alignment across core HR functions, consistent administration of employee programs, and coordinated support for the organization's workforce needs.All other duties as assigned.Your QualificationsEssential:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar field.Minimum 8-10 years in progressive Human Resources experience.Demonstrated experience in employee relations, investigations, HR compliance, performance management and talent acquisition.Extensive knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices and employee relations principles.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with acute attention to detail.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in managing sensitive and confidential information.This position requires operation of vehicles, and you'll need to possess a valid driver's license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
