Title
Registered Nurse - Neuro ICU

Schedule
Shift: Nights (18:45-07:15)
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements
- Licensure: Must hold a valid nursing license
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS (BLS), NIHSS
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years Neuro ICU experience
- EMR: Experience with Epic required
- Skills: Strong neuro critical care skills including EVD/LD care, ICP monitoring, post-neurosurgery care, ventilator management, and central line management.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Neuro ICU setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 24 hours (2 days or 2 nights)
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
- Candidates must complete all required lab testing within 48 hours after signing.
- Up to 7 days of RTO auto-approved (no holidays); all RTO must be pre-approved.
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
- Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions allowed.
- Pre-start modules are required and non-billable.
