District Operations Manager

Location: In office in Pittsburgh, PA What you will do Administer safety programs, monitor compliance with job site safety, safety training, safety documentation, auditing, and reporting Support sales through involvement in job quotation and estimation Approve estimates for scope of work, labor hours and material content, assess profit risk of jobs, control material and labor costs, and provide feedback to the District Manager Establish project timelines, meet with customers to communicate and coordinate project schedule Manage projects, assign personnel, oversee ordering of equipment and material, and assure that proper customer signoffs are secured per corporate policy requirements Oversee quotation of call-in work, transactional sales (not requiring SSR skills), and assign personnel as needed to ensure that quotes are delivered to customers on a timely basis Provide consistent communication with current customer base and establish effective working relationships to identify additional selling opportunities Ensure that maintenance contract commitments are fulfilled, and inspections are completed on time Provide input to Service Coordinator on scheduling activity of technicians Work with the technician team to generate pull-through service and repair work on existing house accounts Manage Tech Tip program and lead customer care initiatives Work with Service Sales Representative and District Manager to resolve customer issues, including customer visits Provide weekly job status, revenue and warranty recovery report to DM What’s in it for you Opportunity to work for a leading innovator in HVAC and make a difference in environmental initiatives to create a more sustainable world for all Ability to create better outcomes for our customers, so we all can breathe easier Potential to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth and development Endless opportunities to make an impact in a people-centered, growing company Competitive salary and benefits, with ability to increase income as you drive sales in your market Non-decaled company vehicle with all expenses paid Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience 6 to 8 years; incl 4+ years people leadership experience Previous experience leading a team of commercial HVAC technicians, with formal or informal supervisory responsibilities Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position Benefits Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements Multiple Medical insurance plan options + Dental and Vision insurance 401K retirement plan with employer contributions matching 100% of the first 3% an employee contributes and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributions Company provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverage Short term and long term disability 120 hours (3 weeks) Paid Time Off for new employees + 11 company paid holidays 40 hours paid sick time Paid Parental Leave and Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,400 - $136,600 in Pittsburgh. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
