Receiving Clerk

Job Summary The Receiving Clerk supports daily operations within the Shipping & Receiving department by accurately receiving all incoming goods and purchase orders, verifying documentation, and ensuring timely entry of receiving information. This role maintains organized records, monitors and responds to group email inboxes, and communicates proactively with internal colleagues across Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Operations. The Receiving Clerk plays an essential role in ensuring accurate inventory flow, prompt issue resolution, and smooth coordination between warehouse activities and internal stakeholders. Essential Functions Receive and verify all incoming goods and purchase orders, ensuring accuracy against documentation before routing materials or information to the appropriate internal departments. Accurately enter and update receiving information in ERP or related tracking systems to maintain real‑time inventory and transaction integrity. Monitor and respond to group email inboxes, communicating promptly with Shipping, Customer Service, and Operations to support daily workflow and resolve receiving‑related questions. Maintain organized receiving areas and documentation, including scanning, filing, and ensuring records are audit‑ready and accessible. Own the coordination of all incoming RMAs by verifying receipt, documenting required details, communicating status updates to internal stakeholders, and ensuring timely routing for evaluation or processing. Collaborate with internal colleagues to resolve discrepancies, communicate delivery issues, and support smooth hand‑offs between warehouses and other areas. Unload and load trucks in a safe manner, utilizing forklift and/or pallet jack. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in shipping/receiving preferred. Experience operating material‑handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks); forklift certification preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to read, analyze, and follow written instructions. Comfortable handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Strong communication skills. PC skills – Microsoft Office and ERP systems knowledge. Ability to lift and move heavy materials as required. Physical Requirements Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift material up to 35 pounds as needed. Ability to work in warehouse conditions subject to seasonal temperature variations.
