Senior Acquisition Specialist (Remote)

Location: Cleveland, OH Availability: Contingent Date Posted: 3/10/2026 GCC Technologies is sourcing applicants for Acquisition Specialists to support their client, the Department of Veterans Affairs. We seek an intermediate‑level Acquisition Specialist to provide support onsite and possibly remotely across several Ohio cities, including Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Kettering, and Dayton. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Regional Procurement Office – Central (RPO-C) Network Contracting Office 16 has a need for Contract Support Services to assist with various procurement requirements. Experience & Qualifications Minimum of five (5) recent years of relevant experience conducting comprehensive acquisition support services, with knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR), and all applicable regulations and policies. DAWIA, FAC III, or courses leading up to these certifications is desired. Bachelor's degree in any field, or at least twenty‑four (24) semester hours in a combination of accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, and organization and management. Duties & Responsibilities Construction/Architect‑Engineering (AE) Specialized Experience: Apply knowledge of laws, regulations, and procedures to issue and administer construction contracts per federal acquisition laws and best practices; develop AE solicitation packages in accordance with FAR, VAAR, and agency policies; familiar with FAR Parts 14, 15, 36, and 43. Must have 3 years of experience developing AE solicitations and overseeing AE contracts and modifications; and 3 years of experience developing construction solicitations and administering construction contracts and modifications. Complex Service Contracts (e.g., Health Care Contracts): In-depth knowledge of FAR 13/15 and medical terminology. Must have 5 years of experience developing complex service solicitations and administering such contracts and modifications. Leasing & Specialized Contracts: Familiar with Real Property Leasing, utilities contracts, shared‑space agreements, revokable licenses, interagency agreements, and hotel services for Veterans per FAR, VAAR, GSAM, GSAR, public laws, and agency policy. Must have 2 years of experience developing real property/lease solicitations and contracts and modifications. Possess a working knowledge of the federal acquisition life cycle. Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of technical and cost/price data. Read and interpret federal acquisition policy, regulations, and directives. Review and/or write requirements, ensuring receipt of sound procurement packages submitted by contracting office customers. Provide business advice and assistance to functional area technical experts, activities requiring the CO and customers. Analyze and assist in developing IGCEs. Coordinate with technical experts and the Contracting Officer to ensure project milestones are reflected in contractual documents and project plans. Plan, coordinate, evaluate, and execute logistical actions required to support the organization’s mission. Coordinate with leadership, staff, and stakeholders to conduct analyses and recommend courses of action. Assist in cost‑benefit analysis execution. Analyze and evaluate pricing data and other information to draft price reasonableness recommendations for the CO. Establish parameters and maintain controls to ensure contracts are executed in accordance with terms and conditions. Monitor contract performance over the life of the contract and solve problems related to change proposals, claims, payments, and similar issues. Prepare or draft contract modifications and associated modification documentation. Support COs and CSs on all phases of acquisition for contract modifications, change orders, supplemental agreements, and delivery order processes. English Language Requirement The contractor shall ensure all personnel performing under this contract are able to read, write, and speak English fluently and can effectively communicate orally via telephone and MS Teams, as well as via email and other communications.
