This position is ideal for a clinically strong, hands-on nurse leader who thrives in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment and is committed to delivering exceptional resident care and staff support during evening and overnight operations.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Director of Nursing (DON) and Associate DON with daily Nursing Department operationsSupervise nursing staff and ensure quality resident care across assigned shiftsEnsure compliance with facility policies, clinical standards, and state/federal regulationsConduct routine rounds to monitor resident care, safety, and staff performanceOversee medication administration and treatment schedulesProvide direct nursing care and clinical support as neededParticipate in resident assessments, care planning, and discharge planningWelcome and assist newly admitted residents and familiesCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teamsAddress staff concerns, performance issues, and workplace challenges professionallyAssist during state surveys, audits, and inspectionsConduct annual evaluations for LPNs and CNAsRequirementsActive and unencumbered New York State RN licenseBachelor's degree in Nursing preferredMinimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facilityAt least 6 months of rehabilitative/restorative nursing experiencePrior nursing home supervisory experience requiredSigmaCare experience preferredJoin a facility where your leadership and clinical expertise make a meaningful impact every shift.
