Job Overview

We are seeking a professional, reliable, and welcoming Office Assistant to support a local healthcare clinic team. This position offers a unique, flexible opportunity starting with primary coverage on Fridays at the Pierce clinic, along with on-call coverage for staff absences. As regional clinics in Battle Creek and Randolph continue to expand, this role carries strong potential to grow into regular part-time hours across multiple locations for the right candidate!

Position Details

• Primary Schedule: Fridays, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Pierce Clinic)
• Additional Availability: On-call / as-needed fill-in coverage for administrative staff absences; potential for expanding regular part-time hours in Battle Creek and Randolph as clinic needs grow.
• Compensation: $18.00 per hour
• Employment Type: Part-time / Flexible / Growth Potential
• Work Location: In person (Pierce, NE - with potential travel/shifts in Battle Creek & Randolph, NE)

Job Duties

• Patient Reception & Communication: Greet patients warmly, assist with intake forms, manage multi-line phone systems, answer emails, and relay messages accurately between clinical staff and patients.
• Scheduling & Records Management: Coordinate calendars, book initial evaluations and follow-up appointments, manage cancellations/reschedules, and update patient records under strict privacy standards.
• Clinic Flexibility: Provide consistent administrative support across clinic locations as needed, maintaining familiar and dependable service for patients and staff.

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Previous medical office or healthcare administrative experience with strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with EMR systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and standard office machinery.
• Attributes: Strong communication skills, high reliability, and an interest in flexible hours with room for long-term growth.
