Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) is available for a 13-week assignment beginning 06/22/2026 in a hospital setting in Cumming, GA. You’ll work a 2x3 night schedule with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and a weekly pay range of $1,521–$1,663. This acute care Med Surg/Oncology inpatient role supports adult patients on a multi-discipline care team.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, bedside nursing care for adult patients on Med Surg and Oncology inpatient units, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse effects and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans, coordinate procedures, and support discharge planning and patient education.
- Perform wound care, wound VACs, IV access management, and basic orthopedic and post-surgical care as assigned.
- Ensure accurate charting in the electronic health record, adhere to infection control practices, patient safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Respond to emergencies, escalate issues promptly, and participate in unit rounding and patient advocacy as needed.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of Georgia (or as required by the state for practice)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Oncology inpatient nursing experience
- Certifications: AHA BLS; NIHSS; ACLS
- Ability to work a 2x3 night shift schedule in a hospital setting
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
