Job Description
Adult Day Care program, located in Queens NY, currently recruiting for a Director of Recreation. Looking for an energetic person who can motivate registrants to participate in programs. Good organization skills and a creative personality required.

Key responsibilities:

Program Development/Event Planning - Design and implement a variety of recreational activities for program registrants based on their interests, including fitness classes, community trips and educational workshops. Prepare monthly activities calendars and order all required supplies and activity food.

Management- Supervise and train staff members who assist with activities. Manage day to day programs following the activity calendar.

Budgeting- Work within the program budget for recreational programs, equipment, supplies, trips, special events.

Community Engagement- Collaborate with community members, local organizations, and others to promote community integration for registrants of the program.

Individual Registrant Assessment and Care Planning - Assess the interests and needs of each participant to create a person- centered activity plan that promotes engagement, well-being, and social interaction. Complete all required assessment forms and notes.
