About the Role

This pivotal role involves overseeing orthopedic patient care, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration, and building relationships within the hospital and community. The Chief of Orthopedics will also be instrumental in developing and implementing growth strategies, managing departmental staff, and participating in academic activities such as teaching, research, and faculty appointments. Applicants for the Chief of Orthopedics position at the company must have an MD or DO degree, with board certification in Orthopedic Surgery, and a valid New York State Medical License, DEA, and Medicaid numbers. Strong clinical expertise, including the ability to perform general orthopedic procedures and specialty surgeries, is essential. The role requires proven leadership or management experience, preferably in academic or public health settings, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The Chief of Orthopedics will be expected to contribute to the department's reputation through leadership, innovation, and community engagement, and may be involved in the development of specialized programs and the transition to a faculty practice model.
