PATIENT INFORMATION

FACILITY INFORMATION

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Required:
    • Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser))
    • Small Bowel biopsy
    • Lower GI endoscopy
    • Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible)
    • Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp)
  • Preferred:
    • Esophageal dilatation/manometry
    • Esophageal manometry interpretation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board certification required
  • Licenses: Licensed in MD or Universal License (IMLC)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS
  • Fellowship: Required
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures
  • Administer moderate sedation alongside nursing staff
  • Interpret endoscopic findings and manage patient care
  • Document procedures in Epic EMR
  • Collaborate with support staff for patient management
