Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document client cases from initial consultation through to the end of treatment, ensuring comprehensive case management.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health using evidence-based assessment tools to create individualized treatment plans.
\n
• Develop targeted intervention and recovery plans that accommodate the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic modalities tailored to client needs, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or solution-focused therapy.

• Monitor client progress consistently, offering adjustments to treatment plans when necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care strategies for clients.
\n
• Follow up on care provided to hospitalized clients, liaising with attending physicians to ensure continuity of care.
\n
• Identify and prevent maladaptive behaviors that may impede recovery, continually adapting strategies based on client feedback and clinical judgement.

• Support family members and caregivers in managing their loved ones' mental health challenges, providing education and resources.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee.
\n
• A passing score in the NCE and/or NCMHCE examinations.
\n
• Strong analytical abilities and clinical judgment gained through previous experience as a mental health counselor.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR, to manage client information and treatment documentation effectively.

• Familiarity with various mental health conditions, psychotropic medications, and dual-diagnosis cases, ensuring comprehensive insights are applied during counseling sessions.

• Experience implementing best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and empathetically.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, allowing for the establishment of rapport and a sympathetic connection with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
