Registered Nurse I - Correctional Health

Schedule
- Shifts: 5x8s, 2:00 PM-10:00 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Assignment Details
- Contract Length: 26-52 weeks

Requirements
- Valid NY State registered professional nurse license
- BLS certification
- COVID-19 vaccine (medical exemptions only)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct health assessments and develop nursing care plans.
- Provide treatments and administer medications as needed.
- Educate patients about health management and treatment plans.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
- Supervise GNs, LPNs, and direct care staff.

Compliance / Notes
- Must clear the state-run Criminal History Form before starting (clearance can take up to 4 weeks).
- Required documentation must be presented at the time of submission.
- Returning staff must have been out of any NY State facility for at least 2 years before reassigning.
