Mortgage Document Specialist (3-month temp assignment)

Job Overview Join Consumers Credit Union (CCU) as a temporary employee for a 3‑month assignment working on mortgage files. This assignment is perfect for a detail‑oriented individual looking to earn extra income from July through September. Location and Schedule The work will be completed at our Aurora and Elgin branches; flexibility to travel to each branch is required. This is a 40‑hour per week project, Monday‑Friday during regular business hours (8 AM‑5 PM). Target start date is July 6th. The Project This project is clerical and hands‑on. You will track and organize physical mortgage files to ensure they are complete and accurate for our third‑party vendor to scan the documents for records retention. Tasks include entering information about each file into an Excel spreadsheet, storing the files in boxes, and labeling accordingly. You will begin at one branch location and, once the work is completed there, move to the next branch. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required and minimum age 18. Basic skills using a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Data entry experience and computer skills (email, instant chat, etc.). Detail oriented — matching files to the correct member’s account accurately. Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs. Independent worker and self starter — works well with little guidance. Compensation Hourly rate $18 to $20. Salary offers consider skill set, experience, training, licensure, and other factors. This temporary role is not eligible for benefits.
