Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Coverage Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical/Telemetry float unit, with a standard ratio of 5:1 (may increase to 6:1 during inpatient boarding situations)
• Float between Med Surg, PCU, ED boarding, and temporary bed location units as needed
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips; nurses are responsible for reviewing their own strips
• Manage IV drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Insulin (non-DKA protocol), and comfort Narcotics
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, COPD, Cellulitis, ETOH Withdrawal, Kidney conditions, Dementia, and CVA
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR ; Epic training is provided

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State RN License or valid Compact RN License required
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• Ability to float between multiple units including Med Surg, PCU, ED boarding, and temporary bed locations
• Comfortable managing telemetry monitoring and independently reviewing rhythm strips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS Certification (preferred but not required)
• Prior experience with Epic EMR
• Experience caring for patients with neurological, cardiac, or withdrawal-related diagnoses
