The individual will lead complex, cross-functional solutioning efforts while bringing practical experience from hands-on delivery to ensure designs are actionable, efficient, and aligned to real-world execution processes.In this role, you will:Lead solution design engagements across LOB application teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise infrastructure standards and approved productsDrive end-to-end solution ownership, from initial design through onboarding, implementation alignment, and operational readinessFacilitate and lead cross-functional solutioning sessions with stakeholders including Application Development, CTO Architecture, WIMT Architecture, Security, Network, Middleware, and Database teamsApply practical execution experience to ensure solutions are realistic, implementable, and aligned to existing delivery processesIdentify and resolve design gaps, conflicting requirements, and cross-team dependenciesExercise judgment in when to drive intervention vs. when to leverage established processes, ensuring efficient and scalable deliveryPartner with engineering and delivery teams to ensure solution designs transition cleanly into executionIdentify opportunities to improve execution processes, reduce friction, and streamline delivery based on hands-on experienceReinforce adoption of enterprise design patterns and infrastructure standardsAssess operational readiness including monitoring, resiliency, backup, disaster recovery, and incident response integrationSupport lifecycle management strategy by aligning solutions to enterprise currency, compliance, and modernization objectivesAct as a connector across organizations, improving coordination, decision-making, and overall solution qualityRequired Qualifications:5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure domains including compute, storage, networking, cloud, security, and middleware platforms (e.g., application servers, messaging systems, API gateways)5+ years of experience leading complex, cross-team technical initiatives with multiple stakeholders5+ years of experience in both solution design and hands-on execution/delivery of infrastructure solutionsDesired Qualifications:Strong expertise in middleware technologies such as application servers, messaging platforms (Kafka, MQ), API gateways, and integration frameworksDeep understanding of middleware design patterns including asynchronous messaging, event-driven architecture, and service-to-service communicationExperience designing and supporting middleware solutions in large-scale, regulated environmentsFamiliarity with middleware performance tuning, scalability strategies, and fault tolerance mechanismsStrong understanding of enterprise delivery processes and operating modelsStrong communication and facilitation skills, including leading design discussions and resolving ambiguityPrior hands-on experience delivering infrastructure solutions in enterprise environmentsDeep familiarity with infrastructure delivery lifecycle (design, build, deploy, operate)Ability to assess when to escalate issues vs. allow processes to execute as designedExperience translating architectural intent into executable, supportable solutionsDemonstrated curiosity and practical experience exploring or applying AI, automation, or intelligent tooling in engineering workflowsAbility to identify opportunities where AI can improve solution design, analysis, documentation, or operational efficiencyComfortable leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate problem-solving, decision-making, and delivery outcomesMindset oriented toward continuous learning, experimentation, and adoption of emerging technologiesJob Expectations:Position offers a hybrid work scheduleThis position is not eligible for Visa sponsorshipRelocation assistance is not available for this positionPosting Location:300 South Brevard Street, Charlotte, North Carolina 282022801 Market Street, F & L Bldg.
