Lead Systems Operations Engineer - BigFix

About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer with deep expertise in HCL BigFix to engineer, maintain, and optimize enterprise-scale automation solutions. The successful candidate will develop and support BigFix content, including relevance, ActionScript, Fixlets, tasks, baselines, analyses, dashboards, and reporting capabilities.In this role, you will:Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high level systems consultation for the technology teamsWork as key participant in large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional areaReview and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systemsMake decisions on technical changes and enhancementsConsult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goalsEngineer, maintain, and enhance enterprise automation solutions using HCL BigFix.Develop and support BigFix relevance, actionscript, fixlets, tasks, baselines, analyses, dashboards, and reporting content.Support enterprise patching processes across Windows, Linux, and Unix server platforms.Lead Support of BigFix integrations with enterprise platforms such as:QualysServiceNowPatch tracking and compliance systemsVulnerability management toolsInternal reporting and automation platformsRequired Qualifications:5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of hands-on BigFix experience in an enterprise environment.Desired Qualifications:Strong experience with BigFix relevance language, actionscript, custom fixlet creation, support, and troubleshooting.Experience using BigFix for:Enterprise patch deploymentPatch compliance reportingVulnerability remediation trackingServer lifecycle automationHands-on experience with one or more of the following BigFix components:BigFix InventoryBigFix PatchBigFix ComplianceBigFix LifecycleExperience supporting patching and automation across both:Microsoft Windows ServerUnix/Linux server platformsAbility to engineer complex automation solutions across multiple enterprise tools and teams.Strong understanding of vulnerability management, patch governance, and enterprise remediation processes.Experience coordinating work across infrastructure, security, application, middleware, and operations teams.Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts, project updates, and risks to leadership.Experience using AI tools or AI-assisted automation concepts to improve engineering, reporting, or operational workflows.Job Expectations:Lead Development and Support Effort for the MPAC Tools teamEnsure application uptime meets SLAProvide SME support to Business partners and VendorMeet all Goals set by Manager and FHO LeadershipPosting End Date: 25 Sep 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.We Value Equal OpportunityWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
