Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.As a Systems Engineer you will serve as a key interface between the requirements, design, subsystem engineering, system engineering, and production teams. In this role you will:Perform systems integration, test planning, and analysisCoordinate the planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibilitySupport test activities on sitePerform data reviews and provide feedback to test and integration teamsFind opportunities for build flow and test efficienciesPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Basic Qualifications:Experience or knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions in one or more of the following:System trade studies and/or System modelingRequirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) developmentSystem Integration, Test and/or VerificationTest planning and implementation with an understanding of all the interdependenciesDesign reviewsAnalysis of data and testing artifactsDesired Skills:Validated understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviorsSystem design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.)Experience with operations designAbility to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for implementation on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete dataDemonstrated experience of good judgment and programmatic implementation vital to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligationsAbility to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent social skills, with the ability to lead multi-functional teams, shape meaningful relationships with team members and deliver consensus among peersDemonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive changeActive Secret security clearance with investigation in the last 5 yearsPay Information:Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
