And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.As a Systems Engineer you will serve as a key interface between the requirements, design, subsystem engineering, system engineering, and production teams.In this role you will:• Perform systems integration, test planning, and analysis • Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility• Support test activities on site• Perform data reviews and provide feedback to test and integration teams• Find opportunities for build flow and test efficienciesPerforms technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.Basic Qualifications- Experience or Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and Systems Integration functions in one or more of the following:a.) System trade studies and/or System modelingb.) Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) developmentc.) System Integration, Test and/or Verificationd.) Test planning and implementation with anunderstanding of all the interdependenciese.) Design reviewsf) Analysis of data and testing artifactsDesired Skills• Validated understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors• System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.)• Experience with operations design• Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for implementation on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data• Demonstrated experience of good judgment and programmatic implementation vital to meet technical requirements while balancing schedules and budget obligations• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent social skills, with the ability to lead multi-functional teams, shape meaningful relationships with team members and deliver consensus among peers• Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very complex problems and implement constructive change• Active Secret security clearance with investigation in the last 5 yearsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
