Responsibilities The Psychiatric Clinician 1 provides comprehensive mental health and behavioral health services to patients and families within the inpatient behavioral health setting. Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the Psychiatric Clinician 1 provides psychosocial and behavioral assessments, diagnostic evaluations, brief individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, treatment planning, care coordination, discharge planning, and community resource linkage. The Psychiatric Clinician 1 participates in the clinical assessment and treatment of patients with acute and chronic psychiatric conditions, applying evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support stabilization, symptom management, and recovery. The role works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary treatment team to monitor clinical response, contribute to treatment decisions, respond to psychiatric and behavioral crises, and support the safe and effective delivery of patient-centered psychiatric care.
