What you'll do: Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigeration units. Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial and industrial equipment. Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime. Manage refrigerant handling, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations. Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating technician performance. Maintain accurate documentation, including work orders, maintenance logs, and expense reports. Support on-call rotations to address urgent service needs promptly. Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service scheduling to meet operational priorities. What you'll bring: Proven experience in installation, commissioning, and maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues. Knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA refrigerant handling protocols, and HVAC/R codes compliance. Ability to lead and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and technical guidance. Proficiency in managing preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime. Experience coordinating service calls, parts inventory, and vendor relationships to meet operational needs. The hourly wage range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Option 2: 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling. Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman. 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area or 2 years’ Walmart store experience. Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report. Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
