Pay Rate: $2,300.00 to $2,650.00 Gross Per Week

Number of Positions: 1

Start Date: 9/8/2026 or any bi weekly Monday start

Travel: All inclusive

Length: 13 weeks

EMR: Epic

Schedule: Staff rotate through a variety of shifts including

• 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM

Required call rotation includes:

Two 12-hour weekend call shifts every 8 weeks

Call shift options:

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Holiday call rotation as assigned

Additional Details:

10 operating rooms

1 procedure room

• Endoscopy
• Bronchoscopy
• TEE/Cardioversion procedures

Patient age demographic: 6 months to over 100 years old

Average Daily Case Volume: Approx 45 cases per day

The ASU supports a diverse case mix including:

• General Surgery
• Bariatric Surgery
• Orthopedics
• Vascular Surgery
• Neurosurgery
• Cardiac Procedures
• Gastroenterology (GI)
• Genitourinary (GU)
• Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT)
• Gynecology (GYN)
• Plastic Surgery
• Podiatry
• Interventional Radiology
• Highest-volume specialties: General Surgery and Orthopedic

Responsibilities include:

• Pre-operative patient assessment and preparation
• Admission and discharge processes
• Post-anesthesia recovery care
• Recovery of patients following moderate sedation procedures
• PACU support and assisting as needed within the perioperative environment
• Patient and family education

Note: The department does not administer moderate sedation but does recover patients following moderate sedation procedures

REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:

Candidates should have:

• Recent Pre-Op and/or PACU experience
• Strong admission and discharge experience
• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with varied specialties

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• BLS
• ACLS
• PALS

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:

• NY

Our Center is a 180-bed, acute care inpatient teaching facility in Cooperstown, New York. We offer 24-hour emergency and trauma care, comprehensive cancer and heart care, dialysis, and most medical and surgical specialties. The Clinic is located on the same campus as the medical center, and provides outpatient primary and specialty care.
