Role Description The Head Coach is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Dallas, TX, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the coaching team and in-studio workout experience. This role leads by example on the studio floor, coaching daily Orangetheory Fitness classes, ensuring safe and effective workouts, and delivering high-energy, motivational instruction to diverse fitness levels. The Head Coach manages coach scheduling, training, and performance, provides ongoing mentorship and feedback, and ensures consistent adherence to Orangetheory programming and brand standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with members, conducting fitness assessments, supporting member retention initiatives, and collaborating with studio management on operational goals and community events. The Head Coach also partners with sales and front desk staff to create a welcoming environment, drive class participation, and help members achieve measurable fitness results. Qualifications Strong coaching and leadership skills, including experience leading group fitness classes and guiding diverse member populations toward their goals. Fitness knowledge and technical expertise, such as understanding of exercise science, interval training, and safe movement patterns. Communication and interpersonal abilities, including clear verbal instruction, active listening, and positive relationship-building with members and staff. Organizational and management skills, including scheduling, team development, and maintaining consistent class quality and studio standards. Customer service mindset with a focus on member engagement, retention, and delivering an inclusive, motivating environment. Nationally recognized fitness certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent); CPR/AED certification required or obtained upon hire. Previous experience in group fitness, personal training, or studio management; experience with Orangetheory or similar concepts is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
