Plumbing Designer

Aid the engineering team in developing plumbing calculations and plumbing system designs for gas, water, and waste systems Produce reports and drawings using calculations and specifications for various buildings Utilize client requirements and specifications to generate consistent drawings Review code-related items with engineers to ensure compliance with client requirements and specifications Assist senior engineering staff with equipment selection through project calculations and equipment research Assist in evaluating and selecting equipment for plumbing system components and applying standard engineering procedures Aid with consulting on feasibility reports and sustainability analyses Work with the team to design sanitary, water, gas, storm, medical gas, and fire protection plumbing systems Mentor plumbing designers and plumbing engineer/designers on expectations Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering technology degree preferred 6+ years of work experience with an engineering consultant Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam PE Licensed CPD Certification Ability to self-assess and command a high level of accuracy Strong oral, written, and communication skills Excellent time-management and organizational skills Project experience in K-12 educational market Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in plumbing system design and calculations, with proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam. Holds a PE License and CPD Certification, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and client specifications.
