Shirley Parsons is currently in a search for Environmental Health and Safety Leads to support a major construction projects across the East Coast.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of construction safety experience, strong field presence, and excellent communication skills.

• Philadelphia, PA
• Charlotte, NC

Pay: $130,000 - $140,000/Year + Per Diem for qualified Candidates.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the on-site Health & Safety representative across active construction areas
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with project safety plans, internal standards, and applicable regulations
• Conduct routine site walks, audits, and safety observations to identify risks and ensure safe work practices
• Participate in daily coordination meetings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning sessions
• Perform and document safety audits, including tracking corrective actions through to completion
• Exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe conditions are identified and support timely resolution
• Review risk assessments to ensure hazards are effectively mitigated
• Support incident management efforts, including reviewing investigations and ensuring corrective actions are implemented
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reporting, and key performance indicators
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture
• Support project closeout activities, including collection and turnover of required safety documentation

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Construction, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience
• Minimum 3+ years of construction safety experience (5+ years preferred without degree)
• Knowledge of safety regulations and construction safety management practices
• Experience with audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Familiarity with safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
