What You'll Be Doing

Core Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage competing file demands and ensure timely loan closings.
• Responsible for the accuracy and timely delivery of the Loan Estimate and ensuring appropriate documentation is included in the initial disclosure package based on loan type.
• Review initial loan application for completeness and work with Mortgage Loan Officer to gather appropriate documentation required for loan approval.
• Order flood determinations, homeowners’ insurance, appraisals, and title insurance.
• Electronically file the credit report, income, asset and all other required documentation. Review the credit package for accuracy and completeness; reconcile the computer system information based on document data.
• Order third party verifications and IRS tax transcripts when required; update loan file and tracking system when forms are returned.
• Review and submit appraisal reports for approval; send appraisal to borrower following company procedures.
• Update AUS findings and submit loan packages to underwriting.
• Complete reservation requests for Iowa Finance Authority loans and Federal Home Loan Bank grants.
• Submit requests to Iowa Finance Authority and Federal Home Loan Bank for program eligibility and grant approvals.
• Upon receipt of loan approval, work with Mortgage Loan Officer or borrower(s) to satisfy underwriting conditions.
• Communicate professionally with third parties, internal staff and external clients.
• Has access to confidential information. Protects the privacy and confidentiality of clients, other team members, and work.

General Responsibilities

• Performs other bank related duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Understands and complies with banking regulations by following bank policies and procedures. Stays abreast of relevant regulations, current industry matters, and any changes implemented internally to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years processing experience, including Conventional, USDA, and VA loans

Additional Qualifications Include

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
