Job Title: Patient Service Representative

Hours: Training schedule typically follows 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 8:30 AM-5:00 PM, with a regular schedule of 10:00 AM-6:00 PM after training

Location: San Diego, CA 92173

Job Duties:  

Answer 60-80 inbound calls per day from patients, insurance companies, vendors, and medical facilities

Provide outstanding customer service by assisting and directing callers efficiently

Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments as needed

Respond to appointment requests received by phone, text message, and patient portal

Screen and route calls to appropriate departments

Accurately document patient interactions and messages in the EMR system

Verify patient information and assist with registration processes

Coordinate follow-up appointments and ensure patients receive timely assistance

Answer questions regarding services, appointments, and clinic procedures

Maintain effective communication with patients and internal departments

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum 3 years of customer service, call center, or healthcare experience

Strong phone communication and customer service skills

Experience working in a high-volume call environment preferred

Ability to type 35 WPM with 90% accuracy

High School Diploma or GED required

Experience with EMR systems preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
