POSITION SUMMARY

We are actively seeking a Repair Technician/Field Service Technician specializing in industrial rotating equipment/pumps.

This individual would be responsible in performing highly diversified duties in the maintenance, installation, and repair of production and facility rotating equipment. Our Repair Technicians readily provide support to our Customers (on or off site) according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems to ensure the achievement of the Customer’s production goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Pump Repair and Pump Systems

• Install and Maintain production machines, pumps, systems, controls and facility equipment
• Complete scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and/or facilities
• Perform diagnostics such as: testing, vibration analysis, coupling alignments, and adjustments to pumps and systems
• Provide occasional emergency support in unscheduled equipment repairs and, when needed, support to Customer subcontracted labor
• Assist in the application of specialized coatings on or off site; not limited to floor coatings, metal coatings, repair coatings, abrasion, corrosion and erosion resistant coatings
• Have a working knowledge of precise measuring tools and be able to interpret equipment manuals, prints, pump curves, and work orders
• Exercise mechanic skills such as: mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, fabrication
• Identify and report faulty operations and defective material to the appropriate supervision
• Possess the understanding of “Preventative, Predictive, Reactive Maintenance programs”

Other

• Operate hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
• Basic plumbing, machining, and carpentry functions
• Comply with safety regulations (meetings and documentation) and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Be able to travel to on-site jobs with occasional overnight stay
• Possess a team-player attitude with the ability to work independently and lead when needed
• Maintain clean driving record

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus
• Four or more years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial rotating equipment experience
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and explosives. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, on some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary.
