Work Environment

This position is based in our rehabilitation center located in Arlington, Virginia, where you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Our facility is designed to provide a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, featuring spacious therapy rooms and advanced equipment that enhances the rehabilitation process. As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will enjoy a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, with evening hours from 2 PM to 8 PM, allowing for a work-life balance that benefits both you and your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and evaluating the patient's physical and functional status to develop effective treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other members of the care team to provide high-quality, individualized therapy interventions, ensuring the continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Implement and modify therapeutic exercise programs, manual therapy techniques, and pain management strategies tailored to the unique needs of your patients.
• Educate patients and their families on the treatment plan, rehabilitation exercises, and the use of assistive devices, ensuring understanding and participation in their own care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes, utilizing electronic health record systems to facilitate effective communication and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Prioritize caseload management, effectively organizing daily tasks, and coordinating with fellow staff for optimal patient care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with evidence-based practices and advancements in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist at Positive Visions Physical Therapy will work with a diverse range of patients, including post-surgical individuals, those recovering from injury, and clients with chronic conditions. Our therapy services cater to both adults and pediatric populations, making it essential to adapt treatment approaches to meet the specific developmental and physical needs of each patient. Our goal is to support patients' recovery journeys, helping them achieve improved mobility, regain independence, and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Diverse clinical skills and a deep understanding of therapeutic techniques and modalities relevant to rehabilitation.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation setting is preferred, but exceptional new graduates with relevant internships or training will also be considered.
• Experience working with both adult and pediatric populations is an advantage.
• Knowledge of current evidence-based practices in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

The Physical Therapist position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
