Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility in Arlington, Virginia, where you will work closely with a collaborative team of healthcare specialists. Our standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for work-life balance while meeting the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of patients' physical conditions to develop tailored, comprehensive treatment plans that address their unique goals and challenges.
• Deliver individualized therapy sessions that include hands-on techniques, exercise programs, and modalities designed to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
• Oversee a manageable caseload to ensure each patient receives focused attention and quality care throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Utilize a variety of treatment methods, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, emphasizing non-surgical alternatives to minimize reliance on medications.
• Regularly evaluate and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and ensure effective rehabilitation.
• Educate and motivate patients on best practices for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including strength-building, flexibility, and coordination exercises.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the facility to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans using EMR systems, particularly Web PT, to enhance communication and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active and valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia, free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated expertise in manual therapy techniques and the development of successful exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, specifically Web PT, to maintain precise and efficient patient records.
• A thorough understanding of current research and methodologies in physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in sports medicine or rehabilitation, is preferred.
• Demonstrable skills in motivating patients and fostering a positive therapeutic environment.
• Additional certifications in areas such as manual therapy or specific therapeutic modalities will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

Med Fit Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, contingent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
