Work Environment

Located in the vibrant community of Arlington, Virginia, our rehabilitation center provides an onsite work setting that allows our therapists to engage closely with patients. Our standard work schedule is from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life harmony.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their specific needs and develop individualized treatment plans that promote recovery and enhance physical performance.
• Manage a reasonable caseload, ensuring that each patient receives adequate attention and tailored care.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions focusing on orthopedic outpatient care, applying your expertise to enhance patient outcomes.
• Educate patients on non-surgical treatment options, emphasizing techniques that reduce reliance on medications and foster holistic healing.
• Create comprehensive rehabilitation strategies utilizing diverse treatment modalities, including manual therapy and functional exercise programming.
• Foster patient motivation by encouraging adherence to their rehabilitation regimens and offering consistent feedback throughout the healing process.
• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team, engaging healthcare providers across specialties to provide seamless patient care.
• Monitor patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed while documenting all interactions using EMR systems, particularly Web PT, for accurate record-keeping.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The physical therapist will primarily work with a diverse outpatient population, including athletes, post-operative patients, and individuals dealing with chronic pain or mobility issues. This role offers the opportunity to address various musculoskeletal conditions through personalized rehabilitation programs, ultimately aiming to enhance the quality of life for our patients.

Qualifications

• A valid Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active license to practice physical therapy in Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated expertise in diverse manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records software, specifically Web PT, for effective patient documentation.
• A strong foundation in current physical therapy methodologies and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting, especially within sports medicine or orthopedic care.
• Demonstrated success in designing and executing fitness and wellness programs tailored to unique patient goals.

Compensation and Benefits

Body and Motion Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range between USD 100,000 and 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan options.
