Key Responsibilities As our Staff Accountant, you will own the full cycle of our daily financial operations, ensuring total compliance and flawless execution. ** General Ledger & Month-End: ** Maintain and reconcile the general ledger ($GL$), prepare complex journal entries, perform account allocations, and drive the month-end close process. ** Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR): ** Oversee full-cycle AP/AR . Ensure all vendor invoices are accurately coded, process timely disbursements (including checks), and manage customer invoicing (Net 30 and credit cards). ** Collections & Cash Flow: ** Actively manage open invoices and execute timely collections to keep cash flow optimized. ** Government Compliance & Billing: ** Review rigid government contract requirements , generate required government sales reports, and flawlessly submit invoices electronically through government portals. ** Data Integrity: ** Perform rigorous bank and account reconciliations, and maintain an immaculate, organized chart of accounts. ** What to Expect (The Reality of the Role) ** We want to be entirely transparent: this role is demanding.
