Pharmacy Intern

Job Summary The primary purpose of this position is to learn and develop the skills and abilities of a Pharmacist while attending Pharmacy school. All duties and responsibilities must be completed under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist. Responsibilities Accept customer and prescription data, including refill authorization. Fill customer prescriptions. Interact with physicians and utilize reference material to resolve prescription issues. Learn Rite Aid’s computer system; input customer and prescription data. Assist with cash register operations and provide prompt service in the Pharmacy department. Provide medical‑related customer assistance and healthcare counseling. Maintain knowledge of over‑the‑counter medications. Review and understand company policies and procedures. Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department cleanliness and organization. Assist with cycle counts, inventory reports, and will‑calls to customers. Complete quality assurance duties applicable to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. Work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS). Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school program.
