Project Lead – TikTok Shop Go-to-Market

Duration: 6 Months with Possible Extension
Location: Bolingbrook, IL 60440 – Hybrid
Type: Contract [NO BENEFITS]

Rate: $52.00/Hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Lead – TikTok Shop Go-to-Market to support go-to-market functions for a rapidly growing social commerce channel. This role will manage the GTM calendar for brand activations, LIVE events, campaigns, product launches, and other key initiatives while ensuring deadlines and deliverables remain on track.

The Project Lead will help execute major activation moments, coordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors, manage key communications, and support the continued growth and innovation of the channel.

Core Job Responsibilities Go-to-Market Coordination

• Manage the TikTok Shop Go-to-Market calendar , capturing upcoming brand activations, campaigns, product launches, LIVE events, and other initiatives.
• Coordinate the execution of LIVE events and channel campaigns, including sampling requirements, campaign deadlines, and cross-functional follow-ups.
• Lead execution of major activation moments, including large-scale brand events, store openings, LIVE events, and other promotional initiatives.
• Coordinate efforts across internal and external teams to execute dedicated brand LIVE events featuring celebrity and/or top-tier influencer talent.
• Collaborate with store event and corporate events teams to identify upcoming events and opportunities to amplify them through TikTok Shop.
• Lead tentpole event amplification strategies with guidance from senior leadership.
• Coordinate with Category Management, Operations, Creator/Affiliate Marketing, and Media teams to execute event strategies effectively.

Program Organization & Tracking

• Manage key cross-functional and vendor meetings, including developing agendas, preparing content, capturing meeting notes, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
• Own month-end ORM reporting and maintain required trackers.
• Support hero product and SKPP tracking in collaboration with the TikTok Shop Operations team.
• Help develop process roadmaps and SOPs for new processes and ways of working.
• Support expense tracking for major activations and programs.
• Organize and draft monthly newsletters for broader Go-to-Market teams, sharing program updates, recent achievements, and upcoming activations.
• Manage the TikTok Shop inbox and route inquiries to the appropriate team members for timely responses.
• Manage the TikTok Shop enhancement backlog, documenting business needs, benefits, risks, and priorities.
• Maintain an organized and prioritized backlog tracker.
• Collaborate with IT and Product teams, as needed, to identify business requirements, estimate scope, and support implementation of platform enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience in Merchandising, Buying, Category Management, or a related field.
• Strong interest in social media, e-commerce, TikTok Shop, and the creator economy .
• Highly organized with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong listening and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Creative problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office , particularly Excel and PowerPoint .
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
