Junior Accountant

Job Title: Junior Accountant Industry: Manufacturing Location: New York, NY 10022 Salary: $70,000 per year Work Arrangement: Hybrid — 1–2 days onsite per week, with more frequent onsite attendance during the first few weeks for training. Client is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities. Responsibilities: Process vendor invoices, payments, expense reports, and employee reimbursements. Manage customer invoicing, cash applications, and follow-ups on outstanding balances. Reconcile AP/AR transactions and investigate discrepancies. Maintain vendor records and assist with tax documentation. Support bank reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and monthly closing. Assist with financial reporting, audit documentation, and ad hoc accounting projects. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Prior accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or similar environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
