Claims Manager

A non-standard auto and casualty carrier is hiring a Claims Manager to run the quality, compliance, and financial results of its claims operation. You'll set the standard for how files get handled, lead the management team beneath you, and hold authority on the claims that carry the most exposure: bodily injury and property damage. This is a hands‑on leadership role. You stay close to the files, close to the people handling them, and accountable for what the department delivers. The organization Our client is a non-standard auto and casualty insurer. The role is onsite in Coral Springs, Florida. What you’ll own Department financial results: strategize with your technical staff and give them the guidance and authority to reach consistent, positive outcomes. This takes real depth in coverage and contract law, litigation, and reserving. Authority and guidance on property damage and bodily injury claims File reviews and audits that check handling against company standards Coverage letters and responses to regulatory agency inquiries: you review and approve them Claims compliance with company policy and claims-handling practices Claims performance: read the analytics and KPIs, then act on what they show Projects tied to department goals, including cost management, quality assurance, SIU, and training and development Training: design and deliver it so handling stays compliant and correct Vendor management: keep work product and spend within company guidelines Your management staff: guide and mentor them in line with the company's mission, including performance and salary reviews What we’re looking for 7 or more years of non-standard claims handling experience 5 or more years of casualty experience 3 or more years leading, supervising, and training others A strong casualty background across coverage, litigation, reserving, and bodily injury and property damage exposure Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
