Work Environment

As an onsite physical therapist in our outpatient office, you will work closely with a small, collaborative team consisting of two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Your schedule will consist of Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Our practice promotes a supportive and engaging atmosphere where team members share their expertise and insights to enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' goals and needs through comprehensive evaluations.
• Deliver individualized treatment plans for 2-3 patients per hour, employing various evidence-based techniques.
• Utilize cost-effective interventions to improve patients' mobility and motion, reducing reliance on pain medications and surgical options.
• Develop fitness and wellness programs tailored to meet patients' specific conditions and rehabilitation goals.
• Motivate and guide patients throughout their therapy sessions, fostering an environment that promotes healing and optimal function.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Engage in thorough documentation of patient care services and progress to track outcomes effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapists work predominantly with clients seeking rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries, joint replacements, and sports-related trauma. We cater to a diverse patient population ranging from athletes wanting to regain peak performance to adults looking to improve their mobility and quality of life. Your role will be critical in assessing their needs and tailoring treatment approaches that facilitate their individual recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapist license from New York without any board actions or disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills and practical experience in developing exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, for efficient patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Previous experience in creating individualized, evidence-based rehabilitation programs.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, accompanied by a robust benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
