Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Care

Schedule: Day 12x3

Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 36 Weekly Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of documented experience in a progressive care unit (PCU) or intermediate care unit (IMCU) in a similar sized facility.
• Experience with cardiac populations, including STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, and chest pain (C/P).
• Proficient with cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and pressors.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the cardiac unit, monitoring vital signs and managing complex cardiac conditions.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for cardiac patients.
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment options, and ongoing care needs.
• Assess patient progress and respond to changes in condition with appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation to reflect patient care and treatments in compliance with facility standards.
