Field Service Technician

The Audiovisual Field Service Technician's primary role is the repair and maintenance of integrated audiovisual systems and managing customer relationships. Job Duties Interact directly with end-users to gather information necessary to resolve system issues effectively and efficiently. Utilize knowledge of equipment and documentation to test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain installed audiovisual systems. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain installed audiovisual systems according to company best practices and industry standards. Complete service tickets documenting all findings, actions, and results. Provide preventative maintenance services for various project types and locations. Modify existing control and DSP programs as necessary. Assist with installations when time permits, including equipment rough-in, cable pulling, speaker rigging, projector and screen setup, rack setup, testing, cable termination, and aligning speaker systems and video projectors. Job Requirements Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team, demonstrating a strong work ethic. Capable of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Interest in learning new skills and technologies. Experience with high-end video production systems, audio systems, control systems, and production lighting is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to interpret detailed one-line diagrams for installation, tuning, and troubleshooting of AV systems. Physical ability to climb, maneuver in confined spaces, lift 50 lbs., and carry a twelve-foot ladder. Proficiency with Internet, Web technologies, Microsoft Office, and related software. Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards. Comfortable connecting and configuring AV control and signal processors. Willingness to travel and hold a valid driver's license. AVIXA CTS certification required; CTS-I preferred or in progress.
