NP or PA Emergency Medicine opening in WVLocated in Princeton, West VirginiaFull-Time & PermanentSeeking a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join Emergency department.

• The team atmosphere of a 40,000 visit per year ED with support from the tertiary and academic West Virginia University Health System.
• Practice community emergency medicine, with the right people, for the right reasons.
• Competitive private practice compensation anchored to an academic department.
• Coordination and clinical skills required for the comprehensive management of emergency medicine patients, (including biological, social and psychological assessments).
• The APP coordinates involvement of medical/surgical specialty teams necessary to develop a comprehensive plan for the patient, and reviews the plan of care with the other members of the clinical team, participates in directing that care, performs diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and coordinates discharge planning/follow-up (as applicable).
• Participates in the education of residents and medical/nursing students.
• Provide healthcare services consistent with state law and the requirements of the professional licensing or certification authority and/or hospital privileges, where applicable. Such service may include, but are not limited to.
Requirements:
• BLS Certification
• Additional Advanced Life Support training at the discretion of the department.
• Acute care or emergency medicine experience preferred.
• Eligible new graduates will be considered.
