Hunter Automotive Group is looking for an experienced and motivated Used Car Sales Manager to lead our used vehicle sales team and help drive dealership performance.

What You'll Do

Sales Leadership

• Lead, motivate, and coach the used vehicle sales team to achieve sales and gross profit goals.
• Develop strategies to meet daily, monthly, and annual sales objectives.
• Monitor sales performance, closing ratios, gross profit, and other key performance metrics.
• Train and develop sales consultants on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer experience.
• Support the team with negotiations, deal structure, and closing opportunities.

Used Vehicle Operations

• Maintain strong knowledge of current used vehicle inventory, market conditions, pricing, and competition.
• Monitor used inventory levels, aging, pricing, and merchandising.
• Work with management and inventory teams to maximize used vehicle profitability and turn.
• Help ensure vehicles are properly priced, displayed, and ready for sale.
• Review trade-ins and vehicle opportunities with the appropriate dealership teams.

Customer Experience

• Assist with customer negotiations and escalated concerns.
• Build strong customer relationships and promote repeat and referral business.
• Ensure the sales process and follow-up procedures are consistently followed.
• Help deliver a professional and positive customer experience from start to finish.

Team & Dealership Support

• Work closely with the General Sales Manager and General Manager to achieve department goals.
• Collaborate with Finance, Service, Parts, and other departments.
• Ensure CRM and dealership processes are followed consistently.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of automotive sales experience required.
• Previous sales leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of used vehicle sales and dealership operations.
• Experience with used vehicle pricing, inventory, appraisals, or merchandising is a plus.
• Proven ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Results-driven with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and customer-focused mindset.
