The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of recent House Supervisor or RN Manager experience and be comfortable overseeing nursing operations across an inpatient acute care environment. This role requires strong leadership, clinical judgment, communication, crisis management, and the ability to coordinate patient care and hospital resources during the night shift. The House Supervisor will provide nursing leadership and support across the hospital, assist with staffing and bed management, respond to clinical emergencies, and ensure safe and efficient patient care. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing leadership and supervision across hospital units during the assigned shift. Oversee and support nursing care delivered throughout the facility. Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and bed placement. Assist with facility and bed management based on patient needs and available resources. Respond to rapid response events, codes, and other clinical emergencies. Provide crisis intervention and management as needed. Support emergency department and inpatient operations. Coordinate transfers to higher levels of care when clinically indicated. Assist with post-surgical and post-procedure patient needs. Monitor patient flow and assist with appropriate resource allocation. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and other departments. Ensure compliance with infection control, isolation procedures, and patient safety standards. Support staff with clinical concerns and complex patient situations. Monitor and report significant events, including sentinel events, as appropriate. Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and hospital requirements. Promote effective communication and customer service throughout the facility. Support workplace safety and organizational policies. Utilize the facility's electronic medical record system for documentation and communication. Required Qualifications Active New York RN license required at the time of submission. Minimum 1 year of House Supervisor or RN Manager experience. Previous travel nursing experience required. EPIC experience is required. Experience in an inpatient acute care setting. Strong leadership and clinical decision-making skills. Experience with emergency care and crisis management. Ability to coordinate patient flow, admissions, transfers, and bed placement. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment. Required Certifications BLS ACLS PALS Facility & Unit Details 25-bed inpatient facility Approximately 19 average daily census 7-bed Emergency Department Day surgery services Inpatient unit serves medical, swing-bed, and detox patients RN staffing ratio is approximately 1:6 during days and 1:7 during nights, with LPN support Patient population includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics Common patient diagnoses include CHF, pneumonia, chest pain/syncope workups, diverticulitis, cellulitis, COPD, alcohol withdrawal, opioid withdrawal, and debility Bariatric equipment available as needed Respiratory therapy available Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM Schedule & Assignment Details 13-week travel contract Start Date: September 21, 2026 Night Shift 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM 36 guaranteed hours per week 3x12-hour shifts Every other weekend No call requirement Scrubs required Locals must live more than 50 miles from the facility First-time travelers are not accepted Travelers may be required to float based on facility needs Important Requirements NY RN license must be active and in hand at the time of submission. EPIC experience is a hard requirement. House Supervisor or RN Manager experience is required. ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required. Candidate must be more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify. Travelers should be prepared to float between units as needed.
