An ability to write, speak and carry yourself professionally. Have the ability to work on your feet for at least 8 hours, and be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Be able to ask for help when needed, be flexible and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure. The Dishwasher reports to the Executive Chef.

Dishwashing

• Wash, dry and put away dishes from events.
• Proper use and daily maintenance of dishwashing equipment.
• Basic knowledge of all chemicals and proper use.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment,
• Sweep and mop the dish room and kitchen daily.
• Deep cleaning of kitchen space and equipment.

Dish Staff Daily Duties

• Wash and put away all dishes and equipment in their proper places
• Continuously check and clear kitchen dirty dish carts
• Keep surfaces clear, as much as possible
• Keep floor dry and clear
• Keep dish room clean and organized
• Be ready to assist kitchen staff upon request
• Keep pans, lids, and cambros neat and organized
• Change garbage, recycling, and compost bins when full, also check these containers at the end of your shift. Only empty bins if they are over half full.
• Organize dish room and sort/stack dishes
• Wash and de-grease triple sinks
• Utilize "Deep Clean List" when there are no dishes or above tasks to be completed.

Communication

• Proactively communicate work and personal schedule through Slack
• Attend and actively participate in all required company meetings
• Respond to internal and external communications within 12 hours
• Present a professional positive attitude among coworkers, vendors, and clients
• Facilitate information flows throughout workplace
• Maintain availability for communication by phone, Slack, and email

Human Resources

• Maintain employee privacy at all times
• Keep all Chowgirls information confidential, including internal documents, policies, procedures, recipes, and customer/venue/vendor information
• Always promote Chowgirls in a positive light at the office and in the community
• Present a positive and professional attitude and appearance at all times when representing Chowgirls on social media and at all events

Culture

• Cultivate general knowledge of Chowgirl's handbook, history, values, and vision
• Guide peers and Chowgirls forward by sharing identified strengths or skill areas of specialization
