Director of Maintenance

Job Details Location: WESTFIELD, NJ – HQ – Westfield, NJ 07090. Salary Range: $175,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year. What You’ll Do Continue the build out of a best-in-class service organization. Evolve systems and processes that improve efficiency, reduce breakdowns, and support long-term operational success. Serve as a hands‑on leader willing to step in and support the team whenever operational needs arise. Oversee daily maintenance operations across all car wash locations to ensure equipment uptime and operational efficiency. Respond to and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues. Lead, train, coach, and develop Maintenance Technicians while promoting accountability and safety standards. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure all equipment, facilities, and safety systems are operating properly. Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards and regulations. What You’ll Need A valid driver license, current insurance, a clean driving record with the ability to travel site to site. 8+ years of car wash maintenance experience, or strong hands‑on experience in industrial maintenance. At least 10 years of management experience. Mechanical proficiency in hydraulics, plumbing, maintenance, and repair. Skilled in 3‑phase electrical and/or electrical controls, pneumatics, and equipment troubleshooting. Experience building preventative maintenance programs and maintaining operational standards. Proficiency with the MaintainX system. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be comfortable with physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders or lifts.
