On-site call coverage weekends nights § Spontaneous opens at the moment service A 7a-7p service B 8a-4p service C 7a-3p service C on-call from 7a-11a service B on-call from 11a-3p service A on-call from 3p-7p all 3 services become 12h when busy on weekends only two 12h services with surge when needed o Are there specific dates needed? § N/A o If call is involved what is call volume? How often do they get called back on-site? § Once call rotation is over you are not expected to be called or called back once your shift is completed o Call/Rotation schedule? § No specific schedule Will they take an APP or SFA when applicable? o Not at the moment Who should be the timesheet approver each week? o What are expectations for orientation? ie shadow day? EMR training? o 1 orientation/shadow shift and a 2nd shadow shift both are 12h shifts Candidate Parameters Any specific fellowships/ certifications/ procedures/ competencies we are looking for? o none Experience level? o Seasoned providers that can handle 18-20 encounters are encouraged to apply Credentialing questions: Will emergency privileges be an option? o Can be considered depending on the need Are case logs needed? If so what are the requirements? o Yes will be discussed with MSO once application starts to go through Hospital/unit questions Number of beds? o 120 beds Census? o 50-60 How many daily admissions? o 10-12 Are there any consults and if so how many per day? o Yes to behavioral health unit or with surgery 1-2 per day What’s the patient population? o underserved Trauma center? Types of cases? Acuity? o Level 2 trauma surgery handles we are not usually involved What does the support staff look like? o We have PT OT SLP case managers respiratory therapy an intensivist on-site that manages drips and vents ED/surgery/intensivist that help with procedures How will follow up cases be handled? when applicable- inpatient or outpatient o PCPs have a case manager that assists with scheduling Specialty Specific Questions: Hospitalists What are the shift times? o See above Is call involved? o See above How many patients are they rounding on per day? o 15-22 depending on volume and what shift you are on Will they round in the ICU? o Yes open ICU with intensivist involvement as above What does support staff include? o See above Are procedures and vent management required? o See above What specific procedures are required? o None see above Daily census? o See above Do the teams do grand rounds? o No
