Syndeo is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Chem Mill Scriber to join a local aircraft component manufacturing company.

This position is responsible for performing precision layout, marking, and scribing operations on aircraft components in preparation for chemical milling processes. The Chem Mill Scriber ensures engineering requirements are accurately transferred to metal parts while maintaining dimensional integrity, traceability, and compliance with aerospace manufacturing standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, and committed to maintaining the highest quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment. Schedule This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work orders, and process specifications.
• Perform precision layout and scribing of aircraft components using approved templates, patterns, measuring devices, and scribing tools.
• Mark chemical milling boundaries, mask lines, and material removal areas according to engineering requirements.
• Verify dimensions, reference points, and part orientation prior to processing.
• Inspect completed layouts for accuracy and completeness before releasing parts to the next operation.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Prepare parts for chemical milling operations according to established procedures.
• Maintain proper identification and traceability of parts throughout the manufacturing process.
• Complete production records and process documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Production personnel to resolve discrepancies and support workflow requirements.
• Identify and report non-conforming conditions, damaged parts, or process deviations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and other manufacturing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. Technical training in manufacturing, blueprint reading, precision measurement, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing, aerospace, fabrication, chemical processing, or related experience preferred.
• Aircraft manufacturing or metal fabrication experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, scales, and templates.
• Strong mathematical skills involving fractions, decimals, and measurements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and maintain established quality standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet production schedules.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
