The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.The Audio Engineer provides an exceptional audio experience for all Honda Center events, including Anaheim Ducks games, concerts, and other events or meetings as needed. This position serves as the primary mix board operator for the majority of sports and other events, as needed, and oversees the operation, maintenance, inventory, and repair of all arena sound systems, both interior and exterior, including arena intercom systems. The Audio Engineer also sets, operates, and strikes audio equipment for internal and external events.ResponsibilitiesAssist with managing and overseeing the Riedel intercom systemWork closely with event vendors and TV broadcast trucks to ensure all audio and communications needs are metWork with internal Production and Building Operations departments on repairs and maintenance of audio infrastructureWork closely with supervisor to manage scheduling of A1 and A2 technicians for all eventsInvestigate, analyze, and resolve operational problems, complaints, and emergency repairs in a timely and efficient mannerListen to audio mix while taking directions/cues simultaneouslyAssist with arena and site RF coordination, including Wireless WorkbenchAssist all internal departments, vendors, and clients as neededPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 4 years of professional experience operating entertainment audio systems in a multipurpose sports arena or similar sports and entertainment environmentExperience with Yamaha CL5 digital mixing console or equivalentExperience with Dante, MADI, Q-SYS, Riedel communications systems, and Evertz routers preferredExperience with RF coordination, including Wireless Workbench, preferredExperience with emergency and HOH/assistive listening announcement systems preferredStrong technical knowledge of entertainment sound systems, signal flow, audio routing, and audio path capabilitiesKnowledge of IP and network topologyKnowledge of current audio trends, technology, and best practices, including speaker placement, microphones, and related equipmentProficiency with inventory management and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skillsAble to install audio interfaces and route audio efficientlyAble to multitask in a fast-paced live event environment while monitoring audio mix and taking directions/cues simultaneouslyAble to take direction and work effectively with internal departments, vendors, clients, and broadcast partnersAble to perform manual labor for extended periods of time, including standing, sitting, bending, working with arms raised, walking on concrete and uneven surfaces, and repeatedly lifting up to 50 lbs. throughout a shiftAble to climb portable and fixed ladders and occasionally work at heights above 10 ftComfortable working in changing environmental conditions, including arena, ice, and outdoor settings with exposure to bright lights, loud noise, inclement weather, and dustAble to work non-traditional hours, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, split shifts, late nights, and overnight shiftsKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceEducation - High School Diploma or EquivalentExperience Required – 4+ Year'sThis position is on-site.Company:OC Sports & Entertainment, LLCOur Commitment:We are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and team members without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), national origin, political affiliation, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, genetic information, age, membership in an employee organization, parental status, military service, medical condition or any protected category prohibited by local, state or federal laws.
