The Welder is responsible for performing precision welding tasks to fabricate and repair metal components and assemblies according to specifications. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine project requirements.
• Set up welding equipment and tools based on the type of weld required.
• Perform various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding, to join metal components accurately.
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and make necessary adjustments for precision.
• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, grinding, or cutting to ensure proper weld joints.
• Repair or replace damaged metal components and assemblies as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment to maintain peak performance.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
• Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient working environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent (certifications in welding preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing or construction setting.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques and metalworking tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

• Frequent standing, kneeling, and bending during welding tasks.
• Lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Regular exposure to noise, heat, and sparks in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to wear required protective gear, such as welding helmets, gloves, and steel-toed boots.
