Description: The role involves working in the Main Operating Room. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in sterile processing. First-time travelers are not accepted. BLS certification is mandatory. No on-call duty is required. Floating to sister facilities is expected. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. Approval for time off will be based on the facility's needs. The facility allows calling off one shift every two weeks. Type of facility is an acute care hospital with 266 staff beds. Scrub color for RNs is navy blue, and scrubs for L&D/OR/Cath Lab are provided. The daily census includes approximately 30 cases. The team will assist with various specialty procedures. Candidates should be proficient in sterilization and cleaning techniques. High-level disinfection and immediate-use steam sterilization practices are required. Travelers may be required to float between nearby facilities. Travelers' refusal to float may impact guaranteed hours. Candidates should have experience in handling multiple types of medical instruments. Providers will be supplied with communication devices required for the assignment. Providers must submit all required references during the compliance process. Previous experience in trauma settings is preferred but not required. Flexibility with scheduling is necessary, especially during holidays. Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly without prior communication through appropriate channels.
